Expert Team

Professor Zhang Aimin

Microbial biotechnology expert supporting agricultural microbial strain development and biofertilizer application research.

Zhang Aimin, PhD

Born in September 1967, Professor Zhang Aimin is a PhD, associate researcher, and master's supervisor. He graduated from the Department of Microbiology at Shandong University in 1989, and received his Doctor of Agronomy degree in agricultural microbiology from Hebei Agricultural University in 2006.

From 1989 to 2003, he worked at Hebei Institute of Microbiology, focusing on biofertilizer research, production, and development. Since 2003, he has worked at Hebei University Biotechnology Research Center, a Hebei Provincial Key Laboratory. He has led or participated in more than 20 national, provincial, ministerial, and industry cooperation projects.

His achievements include five third prizes of Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, two first prizes of Hebei Academy of Sciences Science and Technology Progress Award, one first prize and two second prizes of Baoding Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as multiple papers and publications.

Research Focus

  1. Isolation, screening, and industrial incubation technology of agricultural microbial strains.
  2. Yield-increasing mechanisms of phosphorus-solubilizing, potassium-solubilizing, carbon-fixing, and nitrogen-fixing microbial fertilizers.
  3. Comprehensive treatment of crop waste and development of bio-organic fertilizers.

  1. Straw returning decomposition microbial agent, identified by Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology in 2010 and awarded the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Third Prize in 2011.
  2. Production process and application of Paenibacillus mucilaginosus fertilizer preparation, identified in 2012 and awarded the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Third Prize.
  3. High-efficiency lignocellulose-degrading Bacillus agent and its application in straw returning decomposition, identified by the Ministry of Education in 2014 and awarded the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Third Prize in 2016.
  4. Application technology of pesticide-fertilizer compound biological preparation, awarded Baoding Science and Technology Progress Second Prize in 2004.
  5. Characteristics and application effect of new Agaricus bisporus compost tunnel fermentation, awarded Baoding Science and Technology Progress First Prize in 2009.
